How to Buy Quality Motocross Gloves

There are a ton of motocross gloves out there.  A simple search on the internet shows that there are well over 1,000 motocross gloves available, but how does one figure out which to buy?

Looks & Style - The looks of the gloves are important to many.  Sometimes a person will buy their gloves based on the color scheme of the gloves or the emblems and design.  The gloves may be name brand or endorsed by a motocross rider or they just look cool.  Often times, the buyer may also be matching the gloves to the outfits that they own.  Could you imagine being seen in a red motocross jersey, with red gloves....wow!

Namebranding - There are many different manufacturers of Buy Dirt Bike Motorcycle Gloves Online.  Many of the major manufacturers also sell jerseys, pants, socks and hats.  So what makes one namebrand better than another?  Well, the difference is in the quality of the gloves.  Some of the brands are manufactured in China or another country, and they have a definite feel of "cheapness."  Most namebrand gloves, ie Fox, Thor, MSR, Shift are manufactured in the US and have great quality and feel.

Endorsement - The name of most highline brands of any goods is the endorsement from a popular spokesperson.  In the case of motocross gloves, you have the riders themselves wearing their endorsed gloves.  Jimmy Stewart wears Answer, Ricky Carmichael (when riding) wears Fox, and Chad Reed (a favorite among the women) wears Thor.  While all of these brands are of great quality, it should be noted that many times when a rider endorses a product, generally they are receiving a custom version of the glove that is made just for them.

Safety - This should be the number one reason when someone is going to buy a motocross glove.  The glove should fit, it should have pads on the fingers, knuckles and back of the hand.  Should a rider fall off his bike, the glove will protect him or her from any type of skin abrasion.  While gloves will not prevent any bones from braking, it is important to have a good quality glove that will not tear up in an accident.

Price - Price is often the determining factor for why someone buys a certain motocross glove.  This should never be the sole, determining factor.  The price of a glove is usually dependent on the cost to manufacture the glove and the lower the price, generally, the lower the quality.  Now this does not mean you have to go overboard on the price you pay, sometimes you are paying more for the endorsement of the rider.  So if you mix in quality and "coolness" you will definitely be paying a good sum for good motocross gloves.

All of these things are determining factors when you are wondering how to buy motocross gloves.  What it usually comes down to is the price that you would like to pay.  However, you should factor in the quality and safety of the glove along with how well it fits on your hand.
